When you get money back.
Every project is paid in three milestones: Start 40% (the deposit), Preview 40% and Launch 20% (Terms, section 6). This is what happens to that money if plans change.
Last updated 26 October 2026.
1. Before the Diagnose call: full refund
Cancel before the Diagnose call has taken place, and the deposit comes back in full.
2. After the Diagnose call: the deposit pays for the work done
Once the Diagnose call has taken place, the deposit is not refundable, whether or not it has been released yet. It pays for the Diagnose call, the brief and the work that starts after it, and you keep the brief.
3. Accepted phases are final
A payment released after you accepted its phase is not refundable. If you end the project while a later phase is in progress, the money funded for that phase and not yet released comes back to you, and the unfinished work stays with us.
4. If we are late: 10% off
If a one-page site misses its 10-day timeline by more than 5 working days for reasons on our side, you get 10% off the project price, taken off the Launch milestone. Time spent waiting for you does not count (Terms, 5.3).
This applies to the One-page site’s 10 days only. The Full site, the Onboarding pilot and changes of scope keep the dates in their proposal, without this credit.
5. No satisfaction guarantee
We do not refund for reasons of taste. The process is the guarantee: written acceptance criteria, two revision rounds per phase, and no payment released before you accept. If something fails the criteria, we fix it free. That is a repair, not a refund.
6. If we end a project
If we end a project for reasons on our side, you get back everything paid for phases we have not delivered.
7. Care plan
Cancel any month. The month already started is not refunded, and nothing is charged after it.
8. How to ask
Email emiltomov (at) savageautomations.io as soon as you can after the event, for example the cancellation or the missed date. Name the project and say what happened. We reply within one working day.
9. How refunds are paid
On Upwork contracts, refunds go through Upwork: unreleased escrow is returned to you, or a released payment is refunded through Upwork. Fees Upwork has charged you are refunded only as Upwork’s rules allow, and Upwork’s dispute process stays open to you. We do not take payments outside Upwork yet.
10. Your rights under the law
This policy does not limit any right you have under mandatory law.
